Hi John! All of the units just play one channel through the
speaker. We have noticed this as well and agree that it would be
more reasonable to feed both channels through the one speaker.
It's kind of funny when you just hear the harmony with no melody.
Try listening to "In The Summertime" by Mongo Jerry.
