Scott,
What file system is it in? If it is 2 GB or
less, format it to FAT16. If it is 4 GB or
more, format it to FAT32. Probably that the
thumb drive is requesting more power than
BrailleNote can handle - a USB port is
supposed to limit the power usage to 500
milliamps.

I got a sandisk thumb drive and it doesn't

USB devices are supported by virtually all
computer manufactured after 2000.
Yes, I think BrailleNote will handle it just
fine.
If it does not work, try Sandisk thumb
drives.
