Hi Terry,
I wholeheartedly agree with you. When I looked at which note
taker to get, I was impressed with the BN's intuitive help
features. I think I would probably have needed some formal
training on the other notetaker I was considering but the BN has
been very easy to learn and is still a very powerful tool. Three
cheers for the BN!
Nikki B.

Mike, this is true, but if the person has any hearing problems or
any
problems with spelling, Braille is assential. I love my Braille
display. I have both problems and I like the ability to depend
on
Braille when I want and depend on speech when I want. Years and
years
ago, I wanted a Braille and speak and never got one. I am very
thankful
that the CAP program got me my BN and I took on the chalange and
payed
for the transplant.
I love my BT M-power. When I saw my teachers BN, I fell in love
with
it. The greatest thing I like about the BN family of products is
that
there is almost always more than one way to do a task. If you
forget a
task, you can usually reach it by way of a menu. For me, it is
easier
to hit the enter key until I find the address book than have to
remember
the alphabetical character for each item in the main menu. This
is a
great feature for people like me, with memory problems from
disorders
like epelepsi.
Sorry for rambleing on. I just like my unit.

I have a voice note. It is quite a bit cheaper. I can read
Braille, but
I
much prefer speech, so really didn't see a need for a Braille
display.

I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Rob and I've become
quite interested in the BrailleNote. Anyway, on to
business. Which unit do you have, a VoiceNote or
BrailleNote, and why did you choose this? I like the
VoiceNote for it's price point.
