The password the computer folks told you to enter may be required to be entered at a logon screen you reach when you connect to the college's network. Try creating a connection configuration with no WEP or other security and see if you can connect to their network. When you connect, expect to be presented with a screen asking for a password and you probably type in the pluginacable password at that point. Be certain to enter the password in the exact case it was given to you as, e. G. all caps, all lower case or mixed case. Please let the list or me personally know your success or failure.
