I've been looking at the whole realm of graphing and
whatnot, and i've seen tools through which a blind
person could produce graphs (such as a blindness
compass, ruler, and protractor, all they would need
would be a tactile or Braille grid to work with), and
in my school system (as in many others) you MUST pass
Algebra 1, and Algebra 2, and in some cases Geometry,
all three of which look at graphs in some detail,
especially Algebra 2 and Geometry at some point. So I
was thinking about developing a Scientific Calculator
MENU with KeyPlus, but also a program along the lines
of a "Key Graph" application. In Key Graph you could
enter your coordinates or linear or quadratic
equations, and then the BrailleNote would plot these
on an audio form of the graph where a person could
type in the coordinates and then "see" the point or
intersection, and also would have the ability to print
the graph for their math teacher. Any thoughts on
this? I know KeyPlus just recently got to the point of
supporting fractions, and I was thinking this may be
useful, especially for those of us on the list who are
in highschool.
