Hello Cindy,
UPS gives the sender the tracking number. the sender will request that UPS E-Mails you a message with that number if you wish them to do so. This does not mean that once the sender has the number, you can't call them and get it, but it's so much less time consuming to have UPS send that message. Just have HumanWare enter your desire to get an E-Mail from UPS in your files, then confirm that they have done so. I received a tracking number from UPS when HumanWare sent my dictionary, my ethernet card, my wireless card, every upgrade I got when Humanware was sending them on a compact flash card and my first transplant to an MPower last year. I always know when my packages (from anyone, not just Humanware) will arrive whenever They are sent by UPS or FED-X. Although I do have a little more trouble with FED-X, because they don't like to deliver to my front door. A short conversation with the Fed-X customer service desk gets my package to me the next day.

Yes, the tracking number is their responsibility. I have sent
many packages
and the number is on the form that I fill out and it is my
responsibility to
make a record of that number and send it to a customer if that is
what is
required.

Cindy

Hi Sammie:

I am glad this has worked for you. Unfortunately, it hasn't
worked for
me or for others on this list. I've done the exact same things
you have
and I don't get e-mail with the tracking number. HW needs to be
consistent in handling this.

Thanks,
