THANK YOU for these last 2 messages. My prayers go out to you; but on the
thread; I couldn't agree with you more. I am frequently tempted to respond
to some of these negative messages but typically decide to ignore them.
Yes, blindness isn't easy and it sure isn't cheep!!! Yes, it is frustrating
to have such a huge expense for something that costs sighted people less!
And yes, there are a few bad apples in the blindness industry that take
advantage of us, but they aren't at Human Ware. Hw may not be perfect, but
if you love good Braille devices it's the premiere company in this kind of
technology. Generally HW is honest about the products they sell, they don't
intentionally devalue there own products, and they offer competent and
caring tech support. They may not be perfect, but they haven't been
condemned and deplored by the NFB as another major company in this industry
has been. All things considered, I'd say we are blessed to have a
technology supplier like hw that cares about our needs at least as much as
it cares about it's share holders..

I have to leave one more message. I see all of the gripes about expenses.
How many people help some of you freely, with love, and never asking
anything in return? You may think this has nothing to do with previous
messages, but in my mind, it does. People spend countless hours helping
new people learn their equipment, and answering questions. How do you put
a price tag on that? When you look at messages that Joseph Lee, Alex,
Kevin, and so many others have put out, there is a wealth of information
here that a price tag can't be put on.
I'm sending this, because the sicker I get, the more I appreciate what
people do. When I can't hardly hold up my head, and read a good message
of good instruction, it makes my day. I'm not saying there should never
be complaints, but some of these make me very sad.
