If they release the info a few weeks prior to the software,
could I get an Sma to cover 8 and whatever version came after
that?

Well, companies don't release any information about what is in
the forth
coming release until they are ready to release it. They will
release the
information about what is contained in the next release a few
weeks prior
to releasing the software. This is due to competition, they are
not wanting
to let the competetors know what is coming on down the road too
soon.
Companies also don't want to make empty promises. There are a
series of
testing levels that must be done prior to making any program
final: Alpha
Testing, Beta Testing, then they are ready for final release.
Throughout
these testing cycles there are a number of bugs that are sorted
out and
things that might of been a feature might be taken out because of
it taking
too much time to implement or it not being feasible.
These testing cycles are full of hard work put forth, so any
bugs/issues
that are found are surely not common. I know this to be a fact
from owrking
on two Beta teams.

I also know a number of smaller problems that I would like to
know if
HumanWare knows about them and is fixing them.

Hi list members. Is anyone Humanware ever going to release wht
is in
keySoft 8? I've sent my Bn in to get fixed and have been waiting
a month
to get it back because of a backorder of boards. I've had KS
7.2 since it
came out and it's about time for another release but humanware
is close
mouthed about it. I w was in college before I sent my Bn in and
I am no
longer in it because I do not have it, and when I did there were
a lot of
problems with word documents not formatting correctly annd what
is this I
here about no longer being abole to send email from the unit in
a few
months? I thought humanware added features, not took them out.
Can
someone email the software development manager or engineer and
see what's
going on? I'm a little frustrated becasuse nothing has happened.
I've
been so desperate for a sign of KS 8 that I'vwe signed up to be
a beta
tester but haven't heard back.
Does anyone know anything?
Kendell Clark
