Hi Folks,

In the case of RFB books, you will need to copy the entire daisy book from the cd-rom to a memory card big enough to handle the books from rfb.

So you will need a computer to do so.

I did fine one external powered CD-rom drive that does work with the MPower BrailleNotes, It is a Lacie, dvd-cdr-rw drive. It is the one that is sold with the GW Micro Small talk.

It is not always found by the MPower, but I have got it to work a number of times, either reading a dvd disk or a cd disk, either books, word files, text files, or mp3 files.

I would think it would only take a little refinement of the cd-rom drivers, by HumanWare programers to make it totally stable.

But inn the case of all pda units, the end-user will need to copy the rfb daisy book off the cd-rom disk to a large memory card using a computer cd-rom drive, before they can listen to it with the book reader.

Hopefully, RFB will do like NLS wwill be doing, and that is to be able to download the book to the computer and then copy it over to a large memory card. The daisy books from RFB are very large and it wouldn't be practical to download straight to the MPower.

Roger Behm
