Hi folks,
Until the announcement of KeySoft 7.5, the list was under the impression that 8.0 is going to be the next upgrade. And the person who've wrote the message in question was merely answering the question about last upgrade for Classic. (yes, the gentleman who composed this is not a HumanWare employee). I have a hypothesis: Perhaps KeySoft 8.0 will use Windows CE 5.0 or 6.0 instead of CE 4.2? I know that Andrew Riden wrote that it might be CE 5.0 or 6.0. So maybe, my hypothesis is that we might see an upgrade to Windows CE operating system in 8.0. I wonder that's why HumanWare states that 7.5 will be the last version for Classic, since, if my hypothesis is correct, the version after 7.5 (maybe 8.0) will be using a new Windows CE version. Just my thoughts.
Cheers,
Joseph

This is just another short message I found searching the
archives. We do know that changes are always made, but I wanted
you to know that this information really was in the archives.

Hi Rob,
KeySoft 8.0 is still in development, so the
list does not know what will be included.
What we do know, is that if you have a
Classic (something that you are trying to
avoid), then this is the last upgrade. Way
back, there was a hoax or two about it, but
it was turned out someone on the list has
posted this message or two pretending to be a
HumanWare employee.
Cheers,
Joseph
