You can already do this, as of KS7.0, with the Braille terminal. A VN cannot since it has only the remote synth. The great thing would be to combine the remote synth and terminal so that not only could the BN do all three, but the VN could act as a keyboard. (When in terminal, hit space-i to toggle keyboard emulator on and off).

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Any items that you want to
bediscussedontomorrow'schat?

Hi Joseph and list,

I can't attempt the chat for lack of equipment.
One thing I have wondered about though which I don't think the BN
currently does.
I know it can act as a display for a PC through "Terminal for
screen reader".
Most braille displays that do this are only displays.
I haven't tried the BN as a PC display, but feel the BN's
keyboard could get in the way.
Would it be possible to make the BN's keyboard available as a
keyboard to the PC as well as the display?
In this way, we would not have to juggle the BN and a keyboard,
but could make use of both the keyboard and display from the BN.

Kind regards,
Steve.
