Subject: RE: [Braillenote] PCMCIA Card and the Concise Oxford
Dictionary andThesarus Question?

Ottawa Canada

Dear Kristen:

Humanware ships the Concise Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus with
a PC/MCIA adapter shell which will let you use the dictionary and
thesaurus in the PC/MCIA card slot.

You don't need to buy an actual PC/MCIA card to use the
dictionary in that slot.

The size of the card you would need if you wanted to buy an
actual PC/MCIA card depends upon whether you buy the American or
British edition of the dictionary. This is because the American
edition is stored in text files, but the British edition uses
actual recordings of human speech to spell the words in the
dictionary and thesaurus. For this reason, the British edition
occupies considerably more storage space than the American
edition.

Hope this helps, although it does not directly answer your card
size question.

Try writing to:

[EMAIL PROTECTED], and he can probably get you
the exact amount of storage required for each edition.

Take care.

Brian
