Thanks, will be good to know if Humanware is indeed even considering
an upgrade to CE 6.0 at present.
If so, when?

At the moment the BrailleNote does not have support for connecting to
devices that utalize the headset or object exchange service. The entire
bluetooth manager is not one that can be classified as an official bluetooth
profile as HumanWare wrote it up from scratch as CE 4.2 has very poor
support for bluetooth. When HumanWare upgrades to CE 6.0, we will see the
majority of the bluetooth issues to be a problem of the pass as CE 6.0 has
full support for bluetooth.
