Dear List,

I don't know if Keysoft 7.2 has fixed this problem or not, but Keysoft 7.0 shows bullets a computer braille dollar sign ch bullet and ch* if you don't have the cursor on it. The bullet sign for the US is dots 36,36 and I think the UK is 456-23.

Here are the directions for making the bullets appear right in grade 2 braille using QT commands. (Someone please translate these commands for BT users.

These steps must be done before you translate it into braille. That's why it's a good idea to open and read text files before you translate them into braille.

1. Go to the top of the file and press control f f.

2. Press function x. At the "unicode character" promp type bullet. Press enter twice.

3. Type the correct grade 2 symbol for bullet. All of the bullets will be replaced with the proper symbol.

To make the bullet appear as a symbol in computer braille:

1. When you have a document open, press function with x.

2. Press the space bar until you find bullet.

3. Press function with d then a.

4. Type the symbol you wish to use. Only one cell is allowed.

5. Press y to confirm your dot assignment or n to change it to another dot combination.

Now, every time a bullet appears in a text document and your cursor is on it, you will see the braille symbol you have assigned to it.

I hope this isn't too confusing.
