Chris,

If you are authorized for 7.5 then you can go directly to KeySoft 7.5 build 18, actually build 17 is no longer available. So you can experience 7.5 with most of the major bugs being out of the system.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] KeySoft 7.5 Build 18 Released

Hi,
I have Keysoft 7.2 build 47. Can I upgrade to Keysoft 7.5 build
18 without
first upgrading to build 17? Thanks in advance.

Subject: [Braillenote] KeySoft 7.5 Build 18 Released

We have now released KeySoft 7.5, build 18 on the HumanWare
website.

We recommend that User's of the previous KeySoft 7.5 Build 17
release
install this version.

People installing KeySoft 7.5 for the first time should follow
the
installation instructions provided for their appropriate
BrailleNote
model.

People upgrading from 7.5 Build 17 to 7.5 Build 18, will not
need to
install a new product key, as the installation will work with
your
existing
7.5 product key.
BrailleNote mPower and Classic Users only need to copy the
appropriate Bin
file to your installation card, insert the card, and perform a
Reset with
dots 4-5 held down. For QWERTY machines, press Reset with J and
K held
down.

BrailleNote PK Users need to copy the nb0 file to the CF card
and use the
BrailleNote_PK_Upgrade program to install the new ROM image.

The following issues have been addressed:

1. The problem of contraction errors at the start of sentences
and
paragraphs when files are translated from braille to print has
been fixed.
2. An exception no longer occurs in KeyPlus when you enter Data
Entry
Mode
using its hot-key.
3. The problem of missing text when saving a received email as
a file
has
been fixed. The user interface has been improved.
4. The problem where emails were lost if you switched to
another task
while forwarding or replying to an email has been fixed.
5. Ordinal numbers are now spoken correctly. That is numbers
such as
1st, 3rd, 5th etc.
6. Help in the Directory of Email Accounts and other databases
that was
previously displayed in computer braille is now displayed
according to the
Preferred Reading Grade setting. A few other messages where
part of the
message was displayed in computer braille have also been fixed.
7. The command for moving a subdirectory has been removed from
the
Subdirectory Command List.

Thank you to everyone who has reported issues and assisted
during the
preparation of this release.

Regards

Maurice
