To add to this: if you go anywhere to access a file and are not
prompted for a drive, it is almost always because the flash disk
is selected. If a drive prompt comes up before a folder name
prompt, the last drive used was not the flash disk. Hpe that made
sense.

used, such as flash disk. In this prompt, pressing space will
