dots 2-4 did produce two beeps, but what's the point of that? Nothing really spectacular happened...

Kylie, the Keyboard Emulator works by allowing you to use the keys on your
BrailleNote to control your laptop or desktop PC. I most certainly have it
on my mPower, however I'm not sure if it's available for PK users, but
surely it would be available on any BrailleNote. It certainly wasn't
mentioned in the what's new tutorial for Keysoft 7.0 that the keyboard
emulation feature is not available for PK users. No, the manual will not
tell you how to use the keyboard emulator feature (please correct this HW),
so chances are you'll run into it by accident. I'll give you a hint,
<smiles>. When you run Braille Terminal, press space with dots 2-4 and
you'll hear two beeps. Enjoy!

How does the keyboard emulator work? I gather it is in the Terminal for
ScreenReader, but is it only available for MPowers? I have a PK and that
section of my user manual seems to have disappeared.

If it is available for PK's, can someone please tell me how to activate and
use it?

Thanks
Kylie

Subject: [Braillenote] keyboard emulator... again

Hi again,
The emulator is working, but in the general commands of the help
menu on the BN, the last two options just say "for ...". Space-h
tells me "type the command here". When I press a key, I am taken
back to the emulator.
Two questions: 1. What is this? A way of giving multiple
keystrokes with one Braille keystroke, like a macro? 2. If so,
how do I define said keystroke, and ifn not, what is this? The BN
user manual says nothing about it; there is actually nothing on
the entire emulator.

Have a great day,
Alex
