Hi William and all This may not be the best way to learn the UEBC symbols because, unless there has been a change in 7.5, the symbols in the Unicode tables are labeled in full. So, any new symbols will be written as words rather than symbols, and may not be represented properly on the braille display once inserted. Remember that you must assign a symbol to some characters?
So, if you really want to know the new symbols for bold indicators etc, perhaps you can create a braille document with your English braille table set to UEBC. Be sure to include a variety of contractions and change the font a few times. Then export it as a Microsoft Word file and read it in that format. I can't guarantee this will work because I don't have 7.5 to experiment with, but it should give you the format indicators for the fonts you used, if they exist in UEBC. To find out which contractions have been removed, just write all the ones you can think of, or read an already-created document with speech and listen to what isn't pronounced properly. I don't have time right now, but there is an official document explaining he changes that occur in UEBC which is probably available on the net. Perhaps you could do a search for it and then tell the list where to go to get it. The UEB Symbols Table list is then displayed. This is a list of symbol categories, for example "Punctuation Symbols". To browse the list, press SPACE repeatedly, or BACKSPACE†to go back, or type the initial letter of a table name. When you locate the table you wish to browse, select it by pressing ENTER.†The selected list of symbols and their Braille Codes is dipslayed. Browse the list to find the character you want and either memorise the Braille Codes, exit the table, and then type them, or to have the codes automatically inserted, press ENTER. You can also Search for a UEB symbol by pressing SPACE†with†F. If you are in the Table List, all tables will be searched. If you are in a table, only that table will be searched. At the "Find" prompt, type all or part of the symbol, and press ENTER.†A list of matching symbols is displayed. For example, typing "colon" will find both "colon" and "semicolon". You can browse the search results list to find the symbol that you want to use. You can now either memorise the Braille Codes, exit the table, and then type them, or to have the codes automatically inserted by pressing ENTER.
