While the GPS on the Voice Sense may not be 100 percent the same as on the Humanware products, this is part of a statement from the Voice Sense link on the GW Micro web page and their recent presentation of the beta on Tech Talk where they ask the usual rhetorical questions about ever wanting to know where you are in a strange city, etc. Their answer is, "Now you can with the Voice Sense and GPS from Sendero.
They used the Sendero SDK, to get the GPS working on the Voice Sense. So, where and how it does, or does not, differ from the Sendero package on the Humanware products will become clear when it is out of beta and all the details are released. But it is false to flatly say it is not from Sendero, because, obviously it is. That being said, I respectfully suggest this topic be taken up on a more general list or between people privately out of respect for HumanWare and the fact that this list is supposed to be about their products not doing comparisons with the competition. I only sent this to the list to correct the false statement. I have no interest in continuing this thread and I have not, as yet, even seen the Voice Sense. One advantage that VoiceNote has is that VN has two USB ports, as opposed to just one in Voice Sense. At this time, Voice Sense wins the competition, but ultimately, whoever upgrades to latest CE wins the battle (more on that in my chats conducted during summer).
