Jim,

As for your cell phone/bluetooth question. Which provider are you with?

If you are with ATT&T/Cingular, I might be able to help you out.

Thanks,

Kevin

Subject: [Braillenote] Problems Using Mpower 7.2 version.

Hello, everyone. I have rejoined the BrailleNote list literally
today, and would appreciate comments and off list help with the
following:--

1. Using a Nokia 6600 and Mpower 7.2, I am unable to connect to
BrailleNote (KeySoft version 7.2) using bluetooth. Are there
any settings in the phone that I should alter? As things are,
when I try to connect, BrailleNote says, after a number of beeps,
"Disconnected", and the phone says: "Text". At this point, the
BrailleNote freezes and has to be reset.

2. Having jumped from version 6.1 to 7.2, I find that there is
no
longer a block command to change grade or language. Also, it is
no longer possible to create plain Braille files by writing the
file name in grade two. Why this change?

3. I have also found that, if I insert a KeyWord text document
of about 6KB into the body of an e-mail and try to send it, only part of it
is
transmitted. This problem only surfaced at the end of
July/beginning of August, for no apparent reason, except perhaps this may
have been the time when the technicians decided to alter
the way in which e-mails are received and sent. . Again, why
should this be? If, however, I convert the same document from a
KeyWord Text document to an ASCII Text document, the complete document is
sent, but the original formatting is destroyed..

If any of you would be willing to undertake some experimental self-e-mailing
using my KeyWord Text files of various sizes, please contact me off list.

Warm regards, and many, many thanks in anticipation.

Jim Taylor.
