Is the hard reset, meaning the dots 4 5 6 or the letters j k l
with the reset button, really necessary for this out of ram
problem? For, i was thinking the regular reset, meaning the one
with just holding down the reset button, would clear out the ram
and allow one to start surfing the web again with their BN.
True, it of course is a good idea to clear cookies and temp files
and history once in a while, but I was thinking the regular reset
should fix the ram problem, unless there are too many other files
stored on the BN causing other issues.

First, you are out of ram. As Brian said, hold down dots 4 5 and
6 (j k and l on a qt keyboard) and press reset. Keep holding
them down until you hear the startup chime from the bn, at which
time you can let go and follow any instructions that may follow,
or you may just be at the main menu.
As far as cards, the bn needs an upgrade before it will support
hc cards. I believe there are non-hc sd cards of 4gb but am not
sure. For cards and other electronics I strongly recommend
http://www.newegg.com instead of stores, but if you don't like
buying online I find Circuit City to be one of the better stores.
If it is all the same, you may want to think about going with cf
(compactflash, the cards for the larger slot in the back of your
machine) instead. You can get these up to 16gb and they will
still work.
Have a great day,
Alex
