But the BrailleNote doesn't support all phones. The Motorola Q isn't supported and I don't think any of the Verizon phones are.

I "tested" MobileSpeak Smartphone and my BrailleNote and it seems that there are braille equivalent to MobileSpeak commands. Also, I found that one can indeed type using a braille keyboard (in Grade 2 of course).
