Hi Jenny,

From reading the press release on the HW USA site main page, it
does look as if HumanWare in the USA has made the decision to no longer offer warranties on units with the older Braille cells. Although, guess they do offer upgrade paths to purchasing newer cells for the transplant one already has. One can go to the HumanWare main page and find the article by looking for the words mPower extended service contract and then entering on that link.

Hi Richard,

Hmmm, you have a good point. If there is still a significant
amount of
uncertainty concerning the transplants, I can't afford to sink a
couple
thousand dollars into it either. I will be interested to hear
folks'
thoughts on the subject.

Thanks,

Jenny
