Ottawa Canada Dear Sharon and list:
To unzip a file on the BrailleNote or VoiceNote, do the following: 1. Rename the file to have a .BKS extension. 2. Go to the Utilities Menu, select Application program then select Key soft system disk, directory: Windows and run program: unpackbks. This will treat your ZIP file like a book file from Bookshare.org. Note there are various ways to compress a file with WinZip. If the file you are attempting to unpack is compressed using a different method than bookshare.org uses, you will very likely find the BrailleNote/VoiceNote cannot unzip it and you will need to put the file either on a CF or SD card and unzip it on a PC, or download it to a PC and place the un-zipped file onto your BrailleNote. I trust this information is helpful. Brian Brian K.
