I used a u3 drive with no problems, though.
Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: re: [Braillenote] USB Drives
Hi Caitlin,
I have three thumb drives: two from Saandisk and one for PNY. I
have two Sandisk Cruzers which are 1 and 4 GB in size; I also
have a PNY drive (fast enough to be used as ReadyBoost drive)
which has 2 GB capacity.
Virtually any thumb drive works, but my preference is Sandisk and
PNY. The faster the drive, the more power it needs - but it is
more responsive.
My theory is that you've picked up a U3 drive - where
applications such as portable version of JAWS (which I've
installed on my PNY drive) and Firefox can run from the thumb
drive itself.
Cheers,
Joseph
