Subject: [Braillenote] receiving reading and writing text documents in
grade2 braille

Hi everyone,

I am enquiring on behalf of myself and a fellow BN user, we both have a BNBT
running KS7.5.28.

The questions:

1. How can I create a text document on the BN and both enter text using
grade 2 braille and read my text whilst editing using grade 2?
-The better solution would be to create a kwb ffile, which is a KeyWord
Braille ffile, this will allow you to read/write the information in Grade 2.
Once you are done you can translate the file into a text file. From the Main
Menu; press F for File Manager; T for the Translation Menu;E for Export
Document; Select the Drive, Folder and File name of the file you wish to
translate; at the, "export to which device?" press ENTER for file; at the,
"export as which file type?" select, ascii text file, if this is not the
default press SPACE with dots 34 (CTRL+SPACEBAR) and press ENTER; then
select the drive, folder and file name of where you would like for the file
to go.
2. Is it possible to receive text documents whether .doc or .txt from
another BN or an ordinary pc and read them in grade 2 without converting
them to Keyword or .brf files?
Would I simply press "n" when prompted to permanently translate the file
into braille, thus needing to "review the options" whenever entering that
file?
-Correct
Please reply both to me and to my friend, Julie Sutherland,
