Hello all

Some tips for cleaning displays where the pins either will not return to
their original state correctly, or will not pop up to their full height
anymore.

1. Plug in the Braille note to AC power.
2. From the main menu, go to options
3. Press space with I (read with I on a qt,) to enter support
information mode
4. Press the letter X for Exercise the Braille display.

You will notice that the display will begin cycling through the pin
arrangements. Repeatedly press the far right thumb key until it begins
beeping. This will increase the Braille display to its full velocity to
dislodge the most amount of debris possible.

Leave this process running for between 20 and 30 minutes. When the time
is up, exit out to the main menu and turn the unit off. Take a dry
paper towel and wipe the display from top to bottom to clean off any
dust or debris that was dislodged. Repeat this procedure once a day for
three days or so. After the third day you should notice a small
improvement in the pin's responsiveness. If no improvement is noticed,
please contact Humanware technical support to send the unit for
professional cleaning.

NOTE: Do not use any liquids to clean the display, especially alcohol
as this can cause the display to be damaged beyond repair.

Regards
