Hi Joseph,
What is a warm reset? I know all the different types of resets, but have
never heard any of them called by this particular name before. Correct me if
I am wrong, but I'm assuming a warm reset is a regular reset where one would
just press the reset button?
God bless,
from Andrew

Subject: [Braillenote] My adventure with the new Ambicom WiFi card part one
Hi folks,
Since there were talks about the new WiFi card from Ambicom, and the fact
that KeySoft 7.5.29 supports it, I thought I'd give you frequent updates
to my adventures with this card.
I'm the only student at the school district who received the new Ambicom
WL54G WiFi CF card. I was asked by the technology coordinator to test
this on my unit.
As of part one, here are my findings:
* Physically, this card is almost same as previous Ambicom card, except
that it is somewhat thicker. The connectivity light is located further
inward towards the BrailleNote.
* Before using this card, one must insert this card and perform a Warm
Reset. I found that, when the card is inserted, the unit freezes - even
no speech at all. When removing the card, KeySoft says, "network card
removed" as usual.
* Even though 802.11G is supported, there is no single prompt for WPA
(WiFi Protected Access). The only encryption supported as of now is WEP
(Wired Equivalent Privacy).
The card should be up on Amazon website.
Hope to update the series as it goes. My plan is to test the card to its
full capabilities - connecting to both b and g networks and see the speed
of the card.
Cheers,
Joseph
