I've connected the mPower to dataports in hotel rooms with no problem. You might want to make sure your internal modem works, if you never use it. I remember a year or so ago I had my unit in for maintenance, and they did something that was supposed to help the battery last longer (although I wasn't having problems with my battery), and it made the internal modem stop working, which I didn't discover until I was away on vacation. But if your modem is working and the hotel has a data port, you should have no problems. Of course if you get your wireless card by then, that's even better. <grin>

Subject: [Braillenote] using the m-power in hotels

Hi. I'm traveling next month and will be in a
hotel. The last time I traveled with a small PDA like the bn, you could find
data ports in hotel rooms. I'm not sure I'll be able to have a
wireless card by the I leave, so, if I cannot, do I still have an option just using the m-power's modem? Has any one else used the modem recently in a hotel? Is it easy to dial out of a place like a hotel? I tried connecting once via modem at work, and had problems with it and it was suggested that the fact that the system was a multiline system presented problems for the bn and since I didn't have to do it on a regular basis I
wasn't terribly concerned.
