Hi Nikki,
My hypothesis is that it has something to do with the type of braille
display "planted" - those starting with 1 has Tieman cells, whereas those
starting with 4 (including mine) has KGS cells. The Tiemans cells have
rubber touch cursor keys, while KGS versions have plastic keys.
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. Did I mention that I got a new BrailleNote (actually a demo
unit)?

Subject: [Braillenote] Serial numbers starting with 4

Hi all,

I think I may have missed something somewhere. I keep seeing
references to units with serial numbers starting with 4 in some
of the posts here. Can someone please fill me in as to what the
deal is with that? My unit has a SN starting with 4 so I want to
be sure I haven't missed some important information.

Thank you all,
Nikki B.
