Hi Rose Have you considered saving the documents that need to go onto the BN in word 2003 format. This can certainly be done with word 2007. It can even be set as the default format if you wish it. I can show you how to do it off list if you aren't sure how to do it.
Hope that helps Debbie April -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rose Combs Sent: Thursday, 4 September 2008 10:43 AM To: 'Richard Turner'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [Braillenote] RE: {Braillenote} BN with Word 2007 It is exactly the point I was trying to make? I don't like HW's excuse for this one--and yet unless I absolutely have to I don't want another note-taker, however, my units are past the three-year mark for service because they are transplants, although the actual transplants took place less than three years ago--another annoyance. Still, I like my BN, use it daily but wish a couple of things were better. Due to work concerns I may have to consider a change in the very near future as I have a minor problem with the unit I use at work and figure it is going to cost way more than I can afford just to try to repair it when it finally gives up on me (one flaky cell, one key that often sticks. I don't know, plunking down the full price for a new one when things I need do not work is something I am not sure I want to do. Not hearing anything useful about future upgrades does not help the situation either, I may not care for some things I hear about other products but they are upgrading and you have paths that are reasonable based on the messages I read anyway. It is breaking my heart to consider another product but, I am a working person in no position to ask for aid from my state agency--I earn more than many of those people do, so my decisions and purchase choices come out of my bank account. I have not tried them with 2007 "docx" formatted documents, but those other note takers solved the conversion issues that the braille notes haven't.
