hello Tom and list, like I said in previous posts. There is a
viable solution. I have successfully accessed the sites that you
have listed as having problems with just by using the website
skweezer. Like I have posted several other times, the skweezer
website isn't a fixall for every single problem or issue that
keyweb may run into, but it is a very useful tool to over come
many problem sites. Websites change and grow all of the time, so
sites that work today or yesterday may not work tonight or
tomorrow. I would also like to see keyweb change and grow with
the internet, and hopefully with future upgrades problems like
this will not exist. With that being said, at this point I think
it's impossible and ridiculous to expect Humanware to be able to
fix every issue that keyweb has with websites. So! until future
upgrades are in place, if you find a site that gives you issues
try the skweezer website and see if it works. Again, I'm not
saying it's a fixall but at least give it a try. What do you
have to lose?
To use skweezer:
Visit
http://www.skweezer.com/
When the page loads, type Space with dots 4-6. Next type the
address you are wanting to view. Type Space with dots 4-6 again
& press enter. Then you will have a smaller more manageable
version of the website.
Sincerely,
John

Hi Susie, Ah yes. A couple of us on this list are noticing the
same thing. I run
into this when I try to get to
www.latimes.com
and
www.dailynews.com
I have a sneaking suspicion that it's something to do with the
way these
pages are coded and that Keyweb thinks it's supposed to download
and execute
some sort of activex control. I'm only guessing. If you contact
Humanware
support and get this problem resolved somehow, it would be great
if you
could post to the list and let us know what was done to resolve
the issue.
Thanks.
Tom
