Hi all,
I have found some annoying bugs when using UEB and doing file operations, namely entering file or folder names. 1. When at a folder or file prompt, if you switch to computer braille with backspace-j, the displayed name remains in ueb instead of being translated into computer braille. 2. You cannot use the st sign, even though a slash in ueb is 4-5-6--3-4, not just 3-4 like in grade 2. This is very convenient when typing directory names, but not so much when you want to use the st sign as st not as slash. 3. While in ueb, no matter where in ks, you cannot switch to any other braille grade. You are always told to "use the UEB codes for this". However, I cannot find any codes for switching into or out of computer braille, grade 1, or grade 2. 4. I have said it before, but here it is again: question marks, especially in web addresses, need dots 5-6 in front of them or they become a quote. When copying a url from a computer braille file, like an email, you cannot just paste that url into a ueb prompt in keyweb and hit enter; you must go through the pasted link and insert the dots 5-6 in front of any question mark you find. 5. Also again, words attached to parentheses are tagged as incorrect by the spellchecker when in ueb. 6. You cannot type numbers in ueb in folder or file names. For example, I have a directory called "/cos/p4". When I enter this into the "directory name" prompt, it turns into "/cos/#D", instead of the number sign d translating into a number 4 as should happen.

Ah, interesting: I did not send this email after I exited, and I went back to the wordprocessor. I discovered that the directory input is grade 1, NOT UEB! This explains the slash problem, but not the #d problem. Why is it grade 1??

Have a great day,
Alex
