Hi,
It would seem that Google are very kindly storing all mail you send
through their SMTP server into the authenticated user's Sent box. All
very well, but only if you use IMAP, and (if you use POP) only if you
don't mind not getting your own stuff. If you send to a mailing list,
even incoming messages from that list originating from you are
considered outbound, so a nice little bonus is that you get two copies
in your Sent folder - one from your submission, another from the
list. It's madness. I'll see if there's some solution as I'm looking
hard at Google Apps for my domain.
