For some reason, when you select multiple files the choccce goes
away. One file at a time is fine, but... I find that if I first
translate into braille then I can select the exact type when I
use the "export" featuffe instead of the "translate between
braille and text" option.
Have a great day,
Alex

Thanks Blake and others. I must be missing something obvious.
When I'm in a document and save that way I see the choices for
Word, Word Perfect, Text etc. However in the translation option
it only seems to have text to braille or braille to text. If I
translate the files to text they are KWT files so still don't
work on the PC. I also looked at forward and back translation
but in there they ask a heap of questions about paragraph
boundaries and things. Is there not a simple way to translate
bulk files from braille to Word or text to put on a USB drive and
transfer to the computer for editing? If this can be done through
the translation options what steps do I need to go through to
obtain the desired outcome?
Cheers
Paula.

Dear Paula. I am a kiwi also. If you wish to transfer things
from the bn to the pc and back again, one option that can be
explored is this, translate it via the file manager to a . doc
file. You could then put that file on to a usb in a specific
folder. She can then read, and edit it, at her own disposal, and
then transfer it back to the braille note. If she wishes to
convert this back to a . braille file, she can do so quite
easily. If you/her need conversion steps, refer to me or the
rest of the bn list. Cheers, Blake Ison.

Subject: [Braillenote] Translating bulk files
Hi
I am asking this on behalf of someone I am working with. Is
there a way to translate all files at once from Keyword to text
or Word so that they can be transferred in bulk to the computer?
I tend to transfer files individually when required, so just save
each one in the format I require before transferring. I am
working with someone new to braille though and she wants to
transfer everything to her computer to work on, then transfer the
files back to the BrailleNote once they have been edited. I had
a look at translation options and importing and exporting, plus I
looked through the Users Guide, but I could not find out for
definite if there is a way to do what she wants.
Cheers
Paula.
