I agree with you mostly, however maybe hw will release a patch for the
classic so bookshare would work. the MPOwer and pk would get 8 while the
classic would get maybe a build change or something.

Subject: [Braillenote] bookshare site changes
hi list.
I'm not a user of bookshare because i don't live in the US.
Here's something for you to think about:
Perhaps hw have been waiting for this issue to come up so that they can
include the update in ks8,0. This could explain why hw are taking so long
to release ks8,0 and could also explain why they have been forced to keep
quiet about why ks8,0 is late.
Now you maybe wondering: "Why did hw put fall 2008 on the website as the
scheduled release date?" Well, perhaps hw weren't originally aware of the
changes when they first published the date on the website. They should
really remove that date from the website (if it hasn't been removed
already).
This could also be a problem for bn classic users. Ks7,5 was the last
release for the classic. I heard a braillenote chat podcast and they were
discussing a possible patch for the classic to do with word document
support. But it didn't look like hw were planning on or going to release
a patch for that. Which means that they are not very likely to release
another patch to fix the bookshare problem.
Hw has been forced to release ks7,5 at least 4 times due to the number of
bugs. They are not likely to release another one so close to the expected
release of ks8,0. they would rather wait and include any update in ks8,0.
This is just my thoughts. What do you think?
Thanks.
