Hello all,

I am dealing with a problem that is perplexing and I hope someone here can
help me. I have not called tech support because they are probably just going
to tell me to send my unit in and I just want to try everything I can before
doing that.

I was using my BN on our home wireless network with no problems up until
about a month ago. At that time, My husband had to re-configure our
network. Ever since then, I have been unable to connect to our home network
with my BN. I have done everything I can possibly think of to no avail. I
can get it to connect (so it says) but then it gives me errors when I try to
go to a website or check e-mail. I don't remember the errors. It acts like
it is connected but just not able to get on the net for some reason. I have
recently taken the BN to other locations and it has connected to various
wireless networks just fine so I really cannot figure this one out.

The other thing which I think may be related is that for some reason, the
light on my wireless card will sometimes not come on when turning the BN on
or after I have had it on for a while just doing word processing or
something. The light usually is either on steady or is blinking (when not
connected to a network). Sometimes, I can unplug the card and plug it back
in and the light will come back but more often than not here lately, it
stays off and the BN never acknowledges when I unplug the card or when I
plug it back in. It's like it doesn't recognize the wireless card. I
naturally assumed my wireless card was dying but I recently noticed the BN
seems to be doing this with just a regular CF card also. It just seems to
stop recognizing the card after a while. When it gets to that point, I have
to press the re-set button to make the BN wake up and recognize the CF and
the wireless cards.

My BN is an M-Power QT 32 and is only a little over 2 years old. I have
never had the battery changed in it and it does run down more quickly than
it used to. I assume that either the wireless card is dying and this is the
cause of the problems or that the BN battery may just be giving out. Neither
of these really make sense as I don't have these problems connecting to a
network away from home. I am not the smartest person in the world but I am
fairly savvy when it comes to my own computer equipment and my husband is a
computer technician but neither of us has been able to figure this one out.
Any ideas or suggestions before I call for an RMA?

Thank you!
Nikki B
