Actually, the reason we don't need virus protection is because of the closed
and proprietary system of KeySoft being on top of Windows CE. As more and
more people are using Windows CE and Windows Mobile, there are and will
continue to be viruses.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] repairing wireless connection

Hi:

Is it that you are getting connected to someone else's network? If so,
do the following:
1. With your wireless card in, go to main menu, hit space with o (BT)
or Function with O (QT) to go into the options menu.
2. Press C by itself to get into the connectivity menu.
3. Press W by itself to go into the Wireless Ethernet Menu. You will
be asked, "Wireless ethernet on? Currently no" to which you type a Y.
4. Space bar down in the Wireless Ethernet Menu to Wireless options and
press enter.
5. Set the following two options to 'No':
A. Automatically scan for wireless networks? And
B. Connect to non-prefered networks automatically.
6. Set the types of networks to connect to, I believe, to Access Points
only.
7. Press space with E (BT) or escape (QT) three times to get back to
the main menu.

You should now be able to connect to your wireless network. BTW, the
reason you are getting connected to someone else's network is they
haven't bothered to secure it. And, BTW, BTW, due to the fact the
Braille Note is running Windows CE, we don't need virus protection for
it so I understand.
