In vista, you use a different program called windows mobile device center.
It is the new active sync for windows ista and above.

Oh dear, I did not know that. I love my active sync because all that I
have
to do is connect a wire, no taking cards in and out and sticking them in a
reader for the computer. Do you know if this is related to active sync
itself or to the bn?

The bn cannot be connected to a computer running vista. At least
not that I am aware of. If anyone has doen this successfully I
would also like to know how to do this.
