Hi all,
Someone emailed me asking about memory on my calculator. I can
implement that easily enough (if the stupid "[object error]:
expected ';'" error would go away), but I need input on how to
use it. I have thought of the following:
Use memory: type the memory (mx where x is the memory number you
want) into either the first or second box to use it. If 5 is
stored in memory 1, to add 3 to it just type a 3 in the first
box, select +, and type m1 in the second box ( or the other way
around).
To store to memory: the same as using one, except the mx comes
after the contents of the first or second box. If you want to
store the result of 1+1 in memory 7, either type (box 1 is before
the + and box 2 is after):
1+1m7
or
1m7+1
After you click the = button, memory 7 will have the value 2 in
it, and you can use it later if you want.
Reviewing: simply type a memory number, like m7, into box1 and
select "view memory contents" from the dropdown list, then click
the = button. If both boxes contain a memory, both will be
displayed, or you can type as many memories as you want,
separated by commas; I am still working on this part of it.
Now I need to know if this makes sense to people and would work,
or if anyone has other ideas on how this could be done. I want
to avoid a lot of buttons reserved for only memory functions if
possible.
Have a great day,
Alex
