I am in the same boat as you. I would like to trade, but I
currently cannot since it would not be vital to my academic
success, or however they put it. The bn works fine, but it is
slowly falling further behind not only other notetakers but other
devices in general; when a 4x6 pda that is 4 years old can do
more than my mpower, I really have to start wondering... I like
hw, and I love my bn for what it is, but that does not mean that
I will continue to use it if I have the chance; company loyalty
and clinging to the hope that hw will one day give us the
features that are becoming increasingly essential is not the way
to get things done. I have to laugh whenever I call tech support
and hear that recorded guy say "Our products allow our customers
to compete effectively in a sighted world". Did they a few years
ago? Yes. Do they not? Not so much.

Guys, you should know that I got my BrailleNote from my local
education
authority as part of my disabled students allowance. Initially I
was
impressed with what the mPower could do thanks to a 40 minute
free hands on
demonstration that took place by my local Humanware dealer in my
home. So
that's why I chose it. But, as technology moves on, the
BrailleNote family
of products will eventually no longer suit my needs. I never
said Humanware
sucks at all; I'm just disappointed in the features of KeySoft
8.0, hence me
not upgrading. Sorry for any confusion caused.

The whole point of that message, was to imply that humanware does
not suck.
That's why I said, a strong phraise, but certainly NOT true.
Noone is saying that Humanware sucks.
We're just upset, that they have not met the needs of the average
user:
Better word support, windows live and yahoo support, HTML Email,
etc.
