I'm not sure why you emailed me specifically since I rarely speak
here. The short answer is no. The long answer is maybe.
I say maybe since in Windows CE 4.2 you can in fact change where
temporary files are saved but you need access to a registry editor.
Using this link, http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/s/0118.asp we
get the settings that need to be changed.
The hard part is there's no interface on the Braillenote to edit the
registry I'm aware of. Disclaimer, I'm not a user of any Braillenote,
I only have experience with them because I have a friend who uses one.
Now, part of the development kit for WinCE 4.2 had a remote registry editor.
If you had a computer with the dev kit installed and it can sync with
the braillenote via active sync and if there's nothing specific on the
braillenote that would block the remote registry editor then you could
edit the setting to change the location of the cache.
Easier solution. Get Humanware to add the setting to somewhere the
user can control.
Well... maybe not.
Ultimately if there was serious demand I would suggest someone writing
a program that can automatically make the changes. Just make sure your
embedded c++ 4 is targeting the ARM chip and it doesn't require user
interaction beyond starting it in the utilities menu. In any case, it
would be a serious hack.

Now back to coding...
