Hi Hugh and list,
Quite a few answers:
* Yes, this WPA (WiFi Protected Access) encryption is supported through 802.11G card. In this case, the card would be Ambicom WL54G. * Even though an operating system may not suppot it natively, if a driver exists and if there is a way of telling CE OS what that WPA is, then it can be used. For optimum performance though, I agree with Karyn's assessment of an OS upgrade. But there were instances where a Windows CE 4.2 device suppoted WPA, so I believe there's no performance penalty with this feature - although I have noticed some slowing down though.
Cheers,
Joseph

Will this require the purchase of a G 54 card in order to enable
the WPA? Thanks

We are able to support WPA-PSK on the current operating system
and this
will be available as part of KeySoft 8.0. This is also referred
to the
Pre-Shared Key (PSK) mode of WPA.

Maurice

Unfortunately the BN will not support WPA until there is an OS
upgrade,
something which I would like to see as the BN is falling further
behind
other products because of lack of an OS upgrade.
