Hi

If I understand you correctly, you want to copy the database on your flash
drive so it appears on your SD card?

If you don't mind the database on your SD card being replaced, that is, you
don't have any unique information in that database that you want to keep,
you can copy the database.

Go to the folder manager in the file manager and copy the folder on your
flashdisk where the blackbook database is saved. Choose to copy it to the SD
card. That will copy all the relevant information (including related hidden
files) to the SD card so you can use it properly.

This is the only way I've figured out how to copy databases properly, but if
anyone else has any simpler suggestions they would be appreciated!

Of course, if you just want a back up of the database, choose to backup or
restore files in the utilities menu, select the relevant folder and go
through all the normal steps to back up.

But if you have unique information in the SD card version of the database
that you want to keep, you are going to have to type the numbers in
manually. As far as I know, There is no facility to append changes to a
database.

Hope that helped!
Kylie

Hi Folks,
Is it possible to get a text document version of the full address book?
The menus allow you to produce a print or a Braille copy but there
doesn't
seem to be an option to produce a text file.

Thanks, Ian.

I know of a way but not off the top of my head. I have a 4-hour drive
ahead
of me, so maybe I will figure something out.

Yes, but not directly. You have to make a template, select the copy
option
in the address list menu, and then leave the fields blank so that it
will
select all of the records.
