They should have a program where you can rent a receiver for a smaller
charge while you're trying the GPS.  I don't know how old of a receiver
someone might have, but having a bad receiver can ruin the whole experience.

For folks wanting to give the Sendero GPS a spin, It may be possible to
obtain a good, but older GPS receiver from the many people on the Sendero
Group email list who have migrated to the most top of the line receivers,
leaving their good old receivers to get dusty.  I'd bet that there are some
who would sell you one for cheap.
