That happens sometimes on the older machines like the one you have. It is
best to not leave cards in there when you turn on the machine; I never had
that problem, but I know others did.
Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Did that strange problem happened with you?
Good evening to you all from Lebanon!
I'm using a qwerty VoiceNote that has the following serial number 16171
with KeySoft 5.1 build 19 installed on it which I bought since 2003 from
PulseData Europe branch before it was known afterwards as Humanware.
Everything was working properly with it till Monday's 19 October morning.
I'm using a 4GB CF card and a 5GB PCMCIA card for external storage
purposes. I was surprised when I turned it on this Monday morning to
receive the announcement that tells that it formatted successfully the
storage card 2 folder and this has been replied to with OK. I pressed
enter and the announcement continued to appear and it never returned to
the main menu till I reset it. Note that I didn't ask to format the
storage card 2 folder for me deleting all my important files stored on it.
I used to keep both cards inserted in the machine but after that event,
I'm taking them out of it whenever I turn it off then when turned on I
reinsert them. This is the first time that it did this. Could anyone of
you tell me why such things happen?
Best regards,
Badih Zeinoun
