It may depend on the card he is using (the mifi card, not the wifi card in the bn). From what I have read, mifi should broadcast a normal wifi signal, but use a cellular connection to carry out requests for internet-based resources, requests given by the computer through the wifi. In theory, then, it should all work just fine, but practice may prove to be a different story. As long as the Sprint card is giving off a normal wifi signal, though, I cannot see why it would not work. My only suggestion will likely not help, but here goes: Go to options > connectivity > wireless ethernet > wireless ethernet options. On the option about what types of networks to scan for, select "all available". This is the default, so it should already be set to this setting, but it is worth a look. Can you provide a model number for the Sprint card?

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] has anyone done this?

Hello all,

I have a student who has a sprint Mifi setup. I believe it is a g network. Is anyone familiar with this, and have you used it before? I just want to know if we are going to have trouble with the wireless cards that are used with the Bn, or if we need a specific wireless? He is currently trying to scan for it with a Sandisk wifi, and it doesn't see it. No, the wireless is not hidden. It is Mifi not Wifi. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Regards,

Sam (Access Education)
