I often use the S command to save an individual e-mail to a file
outside the e-mail suite of folders.
I also sometimes have saved the whole e-mail collection to
another drive, but the problem with this is that you can only
retrieve the whole lot, not individual folders, so it is only
useful as a complete back-up if you are going to do something
which will knock out your whole unit, such as have a new battery
fitted.
