As I understand it, the Apex comes tith a cable. One end goes into the bn's
USB port, the other a serial connector that goes into the embosser. I am not
positive, though; HW customer support would be glad to answer the question
in full detail, though.

Just wanted to say thanks to Humanware for releasing the manual so we can
read it and have an idea of how the Apex works. One question though, I
understand there is a USB to serial cable, but the cable that goes into an
embosser or something, is that the serial cable supplied with the Apex, or
is that a serial cable supplied with the computer or embosser?
