Hi,
Welcome to the list, and to the world of Braille notetakers! If you go to the main menu and press i, then space, you will be in your list of favorites. Press i again to skip to "ifarchive.org.url" and press enter; you should be able to find games there. Also, go to
http://www.gateway2somewhere.com/prog
and see if you like any of the few options available there. They are random and mostly useless games and utilities, but I find them fun when I am desperate and the calculator is quite nice to have, as is the converter (if it is up on that site). All you need to do is click the link of a program and you will be taken to a new webpage. You can save the page (space-s on the page) to save it to your Apex so you do not need to be online next time you want to open it. For details, just ask the list. There may be more info on the site, I cannot remember.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] New to the list - comments on Apex and query aboutgames

Hi All

I'm new to this list (although I must own, I've been lurking for a while just getting the feel of the list). It looks like a good list, and I hope I can help others as I learn more about the Braillenote.

I received my Apex last week. I admit it has a few glitches, but on the whole I absolutely love it. Being able to write emails in braille is wonderful. I love keyword as it does everything I need without the headache of ploughing through Microsoft word menus. Keyweb is good, if a bit limited, and the planner and address list are both great to use.

I know someone asked earlier this week where games for the Apex could be obtained. Unfortunately I inadvertently deleted that email, and i wondered if someone would be so kind as to re-post the link. Also, does anyone know where I can obtain infocom games? I've looked on Amazon etc but can't find any relevant games.

The idea of playing games on the braillenote or computer is a new one to me, and so I would be very interested in trying out a few text adventure games. Do any of you have particular favourites which work well on the braillenote?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards

Donna Slater.
